ALLAN MCGREGOR - 7
Won't have many an easier afternoon but was alert the one time he was called upon.
JAMES TAVERNIER - 7
The stats suggest a quieter game than Wednesday, but still involved in a lot of our good points.
NIKO KATIC - 8
Took a few thumps from the lump Main but didn't let it faze him and handled the Motherwell attack with ease.
CONNOR GOLDSON – 6
Another shaky performance at Fir Park, not to the extent of of August but too many loose balls.
JON FLANAGAN - 7
Had a couple of scares but put in some solid tackles and has been a lot more assured this week than what many expected.
STEVEN DAVIS - 7
RYAN JACK - 8
One of the best aspects of Jack's game is his pressing and this contributed toward 2 goals, very solid effort in the middle.
GLEN KAMARA - 7
Made one or two errors in possession, but his resolve to amend these mistakes is one of the many things I've grown to appreciate from the Finland international.
DANIEL CANDEIAS – 7
Becoming a marmite figure among the support, I felt that although he (like Jack) was good with the press, his use of the ball in the main frustrated. Has the heart, maybe not the ability we now need.
SCOTT ARFIELD – 9 MOTM
Three well taken goals, impossible to not give him the honours in this one. Each goal is clinical in their own way, and I really hope that going forward we consider him further up rather than in the middle, so much more effective.
JERMAINE DEFOE - 8
We can now feel a lot more excited about Defoe for next season. Playing to his strengths obviously gets the best out of him and he clearly can cause Scottish defences big problems. Unlucky not to have a goal or two.
ROSS MCCRORIE - 3
Game was done by the time he came on, he has work to do cement a first team place but he deserves the chance.
EROS GREZDA - 2
Never had time to make a difference, a different conversation from McCrorie will probably be had.
ANDY HALLIDAY - 2
A brief cameo, does he have a chance at left back next season? In the middle? Utility man who rarely features? Worthwhile keeping I'd say.
STEVEN GERRARD - 8
Would have been easy to revert back to type with Candeias back in but he kept a lot of the good aspects about the Hearts game and is now showing more tactical awareness. You wonder whether his view from the stands gave him other things to think about.
