I'm only posting these because my OCD won't allow me to miss one, so if I've given your favourite player a 4 instead of a 5, please go easy on me.
ALLAN MCGREGOR - 7 (MOTM)
Didn't have much to do in a goal keeping sense but at least showed a bit of fight, passion & leadership.
JAMES TAVERNIER - 5
Very guilty of trying to force himself onto a game, trying to nick balls he can't win and play in a rushed way to try and get us up the pitch and into the game. Needs to be a bit more restrained and play intelligent football. Delivery was also back to being very wayward after a good game at the weekend.
GARETH MCAULEY - 5
He looked very shaky with the reactions from the crowd, which was a surprise. Lucky with one cynical last man takedown in the second half.
CONOR GOLDSON - 5
Aberdeen's tactic was to leave Goldson in possession and cut off his supply and it worked a treat. He should have been bringing the ball forward trying to initate the press then passing round but instead all we got were aimlessly balls forward to Middleton at head height.
JON FLANAGAN - 4
We're not good enough to rotate our full backs each game, especially not makeshift ones. Wasn't surprised he was hooked at half time, but you could say that about half the team. Now firmly third choice left back and falling fast.
OVIE EJARIA - 4
I can accept the inconsistency of youth, but I can't accept plainly hiding during games. At one point there was a throw in and he deliberately moved behind his marker to make himself unavailable for the ball. Has shown promise in fits and starts, but looks like he needs a long break.
LASSANA COULIBALY - 4
One headed chance aside, he was very very poor again. Doesn't look to have the game intelligence to be able to dominate even in Scotland, and his passing and positioning are very erratic. We need a lot better.
RYAN JACK - 5
Probably our best midfielder on the night but really not saying much. When we started our formation lottery after half time he pushed forward a little which looked very awkward and didn't work at all. Still plays the safe pass far too often.
DANIEL CANDEIAS - 5
As poor as Tav was, safe passes on the right hand side way too often. Don't remember an attempt at a cross, far less one that got past the first man.
ALFREDO MORELOS - 4
Before the red, I think this was his worst performance of the season which seems to have been glossed over. He was having an absolute shocker and McKenna was completely dominating him. Stupidly petulant to stick his arm in Shinnie's face.
GLENN MIDDLETON - 5
Played with his back to goal in the first half having to deal with high passes from Goldson which isn't his game. Moved to left back at least let him have the full pitch to run into, but nothing came off.
KYLE LAFFERTY - 4
Didn't really offer much, tried to gee the crowd up, was lucky not to get sent off. Pretty poor night all in.
EROS GREZDA - 6
A decent shift when he came on, probably the only outfield player to even threaten pass marks. Looked to get involved, hold the ball up and try to play between the lines.
STEVEN GERRARD - 4
Tried to make some changes, which ultimately didn't work and then seemed to run out of ideas following the red card. If all of the players don't carry out the instructions you set them pre game, that to me is a fault of the management team.
